Mysore/Mysuru: The Mysuru City Corporation’s (MCC) Abhaya Team-1 staff have rescued a horse that was fallen inside an open big drain in J.P. Nagar on Wednesday morning.
It is learnt that the horse, which was grazing near the open drain on Tuesday night, accidentally fell inside the drain. As it was dark, nobody had noticed the fallen horse.
On Wednesday morning, a few passersby heard some groaning sounds and when they went near the drain they found the horse struggling inside the drain and immediately informed the Abhaya team.
Soon, the Abhaya Team-1 staff, led by Manjunath, rushed to the spot and rescued the horse from the drain with the help of ropes.
Sagar, Shreyas, Siddappa and Boraiah of Abhaya Team-1 took part in the rescue operation.
Fallen tree cleared
The Abhaya Team has cleared a tree that had fallen near the Petrol Bunk on Hunsur Road, close to the DC’s Office.
As the tree was hollow and weak, it had fallen and luckily, no one was injured in the incident. The Abhaya Team staff, who rushed to the spot following information from the public, cleared the fallen tree and made way for smooth flow of traffic.
