Sir,
A few years ago, the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) announced a grand plan to build a commemorative structure for the late Sri Shivakumara Swamiji at the junction of Vishwamanava Double Road, Anikethana Road and Chithrabanu Road, in front of a supermarket in Kuvempunagar.
While the Swamiji certainly deserves to be remembered, this unscientific and unfinished structure is not the way to do it. The base concrete ring has taken up 25 to 30 percent of the Double Road, and without any reflectors installed on the Circle ring, navigating through the heavy traffic from all the adjoining roads becomes challenging for motorists.
I urge the authorities to reduce the size of the Circle base and install reflectors to ensure the safety of motorists.
