The Mysore District Athletics Association (MDAA), Mysuru, will be conducting the Mysuru District Track and Field Athletic Meet 2018 for both boys and girls under the age group of 14, 16, 19 and 20 years on Aug.18 and 19 at 9 am at the Chamundi Vihar Stadium in Nazarbad here.
The athletes, who secure first and second place with best Timings/ Distance/ Height in all categories will be selected to represent Mysuru District Athletic team in the Karnataka Junior and Senior Athletic Meet-2018, Inter-District National Junior Meet 2018 and Karnataka Inter-District Athletic Championship 2018 which will be held in September, November and December 2018.
For U-14 section, events will be held in 100m, 600m, Long-Jump, High-Jump and Shot-Put; For U-16, events will be held in 100m, 200m, 400m, 1000m, 100m Hurdles, 3000m Walk, Long-Jump, High-Jump, Shot-Put and Discus-Throw; For U-18, events will be held in 100m, 200m, 400m, 1500m, 110m Hurdles, 3000m Walk, Long-Jump, High-Jump, Shot-Put, Javelin-Throw and Discus-Throw; For U-20, events will be held in 100m, 200m, 400m, 1500m, Long-Jump, High-Jump, Shot-Put, Javelin and Discus-Throw; In the Men & Women’s section, events will be held in 100m, 200m, 400m, 1500m, Long-Jump, High-Jump, Shot-Put and Javelin-Throw.
