Mysore/Mysuru: Mysore District Athletic Association (MDAA) will be conducting Mysore District Track and Field Selection Trials 2024 for boys and girls under the age groups of U-14, U-16 and U-18 and U-20 on Aug. 18 (Sunday) at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in city. The athletes securing first and second place with best timings/distance and height in both categories will be selected for the Mysore District Athletic Team to participate in the upcoming Karnataka State Junior Inter District Athletics Championship 2024 to be held in Mysuru.
The selections will be held for: U-14 Boys and Girls – Triathlon: 1. 60 mts, long jump, high jump; 2. 60 mts, long jump, shot put; 3. 60 mts, long jump and 600 mts.
U-16 Boys and Girls: 60 mts, 80mts hurdles, 600 mts, high jump, long jump, shot put, javelin throw and pentathlon.
U-18 Boys and Girls: 100 mts, 200 mts, 400 mts, 1000 mts, long jump, high jump, 110 mts hurdles, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, 5000 mts RW, heptathlon.
U-20 Men and Women: 100 mts, 200 mts, 400 mts, 800 mts, 1,500 mts, 5,000 mts, 110 mts hurdles, 400 mts hurdles, high jump, long jump, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, 10,000 mts RW and decathlon.
