Medical Representatives rally flagged off in city

Mysuru: As a prelude to the three-day All India General Council Meeting of Federation of Medical Representatives, which will be held from Feb. 14 to 16, 2020, a rally was taken out from Gandhi Square, which was flagged off by City’s Senior Physician Dr. K. Javeed Nayeem today morning.

More than 40 members of the Association of Medical Reps, accompanied by folk troupes, participated in the jatha, which began from Gandhi Square in open vehicles to reach Nanjangud and travel back to Mysuru by today evening to proceed across Railway Station Circle, Sayyaji Rao Road, Bannimantap Circle, JSS Medical College, Columbia Hospital junction and travel towards Hassan.

Today’s procession taken was held as a prelude to General Council Meeting to be held at MMC&RI Platinum Jubilee Hall in J.K. Grounds, Mysuru, in February next year. 

Topics such as problems faced by public and pharmacists and its solutions, removal of tax on medicines, safety of medical representatives’ lives etc., would be discussed at the three-day meet.
