Mysuru: A mega district-level awareness campaign on The Children Act — ‘Balya Vivaha Tade Mattu Shale Kade Nanna Nade’ — has been organised under the aegis of Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Bengaluru, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Women and Child Development Department, Department of Public Instruction and District Child Protection Unit, Mysuru.
DLSA has arranged for a vehicle for the purpose and the same will be flagged off by Principal District and Sessions Judge and DLSA Chairman PGM Patil tomorrow (June 22) at 10.20 am.
The following programmes will be held as part of the campaign:
10.30 am (at Nanjumalige): Screening of movie to create awareness on ‘The Children Act’ and street play by RLHP.
12 noon (near Mandi Police Station): Street play.
2 pm (Kuppanna Park Circle, near Suburban Bus Stand): Movie screening and street play.
3 pm (Hinkal): Movie screening.
5 pm (Yelwal): Screening of movie on ‘The Children Act.’
Also, a workshop has been organised for Government Primary and High School Head Masters/Mistress at Sthree Shakti Bhavan of Women and Child Development Department in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage at 11 am tomorrow.
