Mysuru: A free mega health check-up camp has been organised by V. Sreenivasa Prasad Abhimani Balaga on Aug. 6 at the Government Girls High School in Ashokapuram here from 9 am to 4 pm to mark the 70th birthday of former Minister V. Sreenivasa Prasad.
Addressing a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here recently, former MUDA Chairman and Hon. President of the Balaga K.R. Mohan Kumar said that the camp would be inaugurated by former Assembly Speaker Krishna. He said that 50 specialist doctors pertaining to Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Gynaecology, Dermatology, Pediatrics, Diabetes, Gastric, Spinal Cord, ENT, Dental, Kidney, Plastic Surgery, Obesity and Weight Management and Cancer along with about 50 nurses would conduct the camp. About 200 volunteers from the Balaga would assist the doctors at the camp.
Mohan Kumar said that the members of the Balaga visited door-to-door at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Colony, Devaraj Urs Colony and surrounding places in Ashokapuram since 15 days and have registered the names of about 2500 patients, suffering from various ailments who are willing to avail the treatment.
On the occasion, Dr. J. Kamala Raman, Dr. Ranganathaiah and Dr. Venkatesh, would be felicitated.
