Mysore/Mysuru: Old students of Bharathi Sthree Samaja Higher Primary School, V.V. Mohalla in city, who studied between 1969 and 1975, have organised a Guru Vandana programme for their teachers and a musical evening titled Mellusire Savigana at Jaganmohan Palace in city on Aug. 5 at 5.30 pm.
Announcing this at a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here on Wednesday, old student Raghav Khare said that old students, who had studied till seventh standard in the School will reunite in the programme.
“The main aim of the programme is that all the old students will come together and work towards women education and development of the School,” he said.
Kannada, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu film songs and light music will be rendered by singers Dr. A.D. Srinivas, Vijay Urs, S.N. Jayarao, K.N. Prabhakar, A.S. Srihari, Hamsini S. Kumar, Latha Venkatesh, Dr. S. Padmashri and Nandini Murthy.
They will be accompanied by Vid. C. Vishwanath on mandolin, Vid. Shanmukha Sajja on keyboard, Vid. Raghu on tabla, Vid. Raghavendra Prasad on rhythm pad and Vid. Indhu Shekar on dholak. For details about the programme, call Mob: 98451-11038.
