The Vyramudi Utsava rituals would be beamed on giant screens and also through many TV channels, according to Temple Executive Officer Kumaraswamy.

The boxes containing Vyramudi and other jewels would be brought from the Mandya Treasury and would be examined in the presence of the priests and supervisors.

Vyramudi Utsava would begin at 8 pm tomorrow and go on till 3.30 am the next day.

KSRTC has arranged special buses from Mandya, Mysuru, K.R. Pet, Hassan, Bengaluru, Nagamangala and other places.

SP Sudhirkumar Reddy is monitoring the security arrangements. Surveillance cameras have been installed at the Temple and at important places. Over 1,500 Police personnel and Home Guards have been deputed for security along with Rapid Action Force. Utmost importance has been given for cleanliness especially around the Temple and Kalyani.

The Police have warned the devotees not to throw coins on the deity during the Utsava as the impact of the falling coin damages the precious jewels adorning the idol. The Police would take stern action against violators.
