Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Mysuru, has organised a Memorial Music Concert on June 15 and Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Jayanti Memorial Music Concert on June 17 at 6 pm at Alwar Kala Bhavan in Gokulam 3rd Stage.
June 15: Vocal concert will be presented by Chilkunda Sisters Vidu. Lakshmi Nagaraj and Vidu. Indu Nagaraj. They will be accompanied by Vid. Keshava Mohan Kumar on violin, Vid. Tumkur Ravishankar on mridanga and Vid. Sharath Koushik on ghata. The Memorial Music Concert is sponsored by Dr. C.G. Narasimhan & Family.
June 17: Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Jayanti Memorial Vocal Music Concert will be presented by Dr. R.S. Nandakumar accompanied by Vidu. Veena Suresh on violin, Vid. G.S. Ramanujam on mridanga and Vid. M.R. Manjunath on ghata.
Profile: Vidushis Lakshmi Nagaraj and Indu Nagaraj, who received training in music at an early age from their father, gave performances at a young age.
Hailing from Mysuru, the Chilkunda Sisters have participated in “Yede Thumbi Haduvenu” TV show. Indu is a playback singer and has won Filmfare Award.
Dr. Nandakumar, a musician of repute, is the son and disciple of noted Musicologist late Dr. R. Sathyanarayana.
