Mysore/Mysuru: Rotary Club of Mysore East has organised a musical tribute and extravaganza ‘Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchan Hai,’ a fund-raising programme for tribal community service project, at B.N. Bahadur Auditorium on Hunsur Road in city on Feb. 25 at 6.30 pm.
This is a multilingual musical programme and there will be an array of singers, ranging from talented Rotarians, famous singers of ‘Geeth Gaatha Chal’ fame and some of the most passionate and professional singers and celebrities.
The Tribal Village and School at Hire Halli Haadi in H.D. Kote will benefit from the fund raised through this event. The villagers are Jenu Kuruba tribes who are impoverished, illiterate and living in pathetic conditions and their children hardly go to school. Hence, Rotary Club of Mysore East plans to revive the community, educate them on hygiene and importance of education by reaching out to every house individually and extending support.
Rotary Club of Mysore East will provide the children with free books and study materials, stationeries, bags, uniforms etc.
