Vid. Rahul Vellal from Bengaluru presenting Karnatak Classical Concert in the backdrop of magnificent Mysore Palace premises last evening as part of the ongoing Dasara cultural programmes. He, along with his accompanists Vid. D.V. Prahalada Rao (mridanga), Vid. Y.P. Vikram Bharadwaj (morching) and Vid. Tumkur Yashaswee (violin), were honoured after the performance. They are seen with (from left) Zilla Panchayat (ZP) CEO D. Bharathi, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) B.S. Manjunathaswamy, Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Chairman H.V. Rajeev, MLA C.S. Niranjan, City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta, Kannada and Culture Assistant Director H. Channappa. Vid. Rahul presented various Kritis including Saraswati Namostute in Raaga Saraswati (Composer: G.N. Balasubrahmanyam), Annapurne Vishaalakshi in Sama (Muthuswami Deekshitar), Sri Chamundeshwari in Bilahari (Mysore Vasudevacharya), Jaya Durge in Raag Kedar (Swami Brahmananda), Tamburi Meetidava in Sindhu Bhairavi (Sri Purandaradasa) and Ksheerabhdi Kannike in Ragamaalike (Sri Purandaradasa).
