Bagalkot: The woman, who was in a sleaze video clip with former Minister H.Y. Meti, aired by a TV channel in Dec. 2016, attempted suicide by consuming sleeping tablets here yesterday after being allegedly threatened by Meti’s supporters.
Vijayalakshmi, the woman, was taken to the District Hospital and is now out of danger, according to doctors.
The woman told reporters that she had tried to end her life as she was being threatened by Meti’s supporters.
It may be recalled that the CD episode had resulted in Meti tendering his resignation from the Ministry and it has just been three months the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) had given him a clean chit.
