Mysuru: Mysore Industries Association (MIA) had organised an interaction with 28 executives, representing Ministries, Promotional Organisations, Government Departments and Banks of 20 countries, at the premises of MIA on KRS Road here this morning.
The executives from Mauritius, Tajikistan, Uganda, South Africa, South Sudan, Laos, Maldives, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Liberia, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Botswana, Zambia, Mali, Kenya, Palestine and Ethiopia are on a 6-week international training programme on ‘SME (Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Financing – Approaches and Strategies’ sponsored by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, under ITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation) from Dec.2, 2019 to Jan.10, 2020. Now, they are on a study visit to Mysuru and Bengaluru.
Dr. E. Vijaya, Faculty Member, National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Hyderabad, briefed the foreign delegates through a power point presentation. She focussed on SME loan facilities, product promotion, credit facility, marketing, Credit Guarantee Trust Fund for SMEs and entrepreneurship financing.
MIA President and former MLA Vasu, former MIA President P. Vishwanath, Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre Assistant Director Saraswathi, MIA Gen. Secretary O.D. Satyendra, Secretary Suresh Kumar Jain, Treasurer Manjunath, SBI Learning and Development Centre Chief Managers Seetharaghava and Pradeep Kumar, SME Branch Manager Girishankar, SBI Mettagalli Branch Manager Subbalakshmi and others were present during the interaction at the MIA premises.
Later, the foreign delegates visited a couple of industries in city.
