Mysuru: Seeking fulfilment of their long standing demands, which chiefly included regularisation of service and payment of minimum wages, mid-day meal workers under the banner of Karnataka Rajya Akshara Dasoha Naukarara Sangha will stage a two-day demonstration in front of the residence of Union Minister H.N. Ananth Kumar at Bengaluru on Oct. 3 and 4.
Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, CITU Secretary Jayaram said that most of the mid-day meal works come from the lower sections of the society and they have been working for the past 14 years without any job security.
As such the workers are forced to hold a stir in front of the Union Minister’ house in Bengaluru on Oct. 3 and 4, he said.
Mid-day meal workers Leelavathi, Manjula, Pushpa and others were present at the press meet.
