May 29 deadline to choose new centre

Bengaluru: With most migrant students returning to their villages following the COVID-19 lockdown, the Government has allowed such SSLC students to write the exams at the centre that is closest to their native place or village.

The SSLC exam (2019-20) is scheduled to take place from June 25 to July 4.

The Government, after giving permission to migrant students to write exam at the nearest centre, had set May 25 as the deadline for choosing the new centre. But now, this deadline has been extended up to May 29.

Once the students choose their centre, that will be the final one and there is no option to return back to the centre which they were allotted during the course of study in schools.

Soon after their new centre is confirmed, the students can get the Hall ticket that mentions their chosen centre, from the Heads of the Institution which they have studied, through WhatsApp. As an alternative, the students can also get their Hall ticket from the BEO Office of the taluk in which their chosen centre is located, by giving the Hall ticket number.
