In a gift to dairy farmers, the Mysuru District Milk Union (MyMUL) has hiked the price of milk procured from Milk Producer Unions by Rs.1.10 per kg with effect from today (Mar.1). As per the hike, MYMUL will pay Rs.32.25 a kg to Milk Producer Unions (Societies), while the Unions in turn will pay farmers Rs.30 a kg. The Rs.2. 25 margin will enable the Milk Unions to meet their operational expenses, including payment of salaries to staff.
