Millennium Circle-JSS Dental College Road humps need attention

Sir,

Some time ago, there was a write-up and photos highlighting the deplorable condition of three road humps between Millennium Circle (LIC Division Office) and JSS Dental College in the Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway.

These road humps were found to be damaged, with large gaps and uneven surfaces due to indiscriminate chipping. Despite this being a critical stretch of road, serving as the Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway and witnessing the passage of thousands of vehicles daily, no action has been taken by the authorities to rectify the situation. This negligence has resulted in significant inconvenience for all classes of commuters.

It is disheartening to observe that the once clean and well-maintained city of Mysuru, which earned the distinction of being India’s Cleanest City, is slowly losing its charm due to the lack of attention from the concerned authorities towards maintaining the city roads. With the approaching world-famous grand Dasara celebrations, it is imperative that immediate action be taken by the relevant authorities to address the road hump issue on a war-footing.

Additionally, the absence of road hump sign boards and cat eyes on either side of the road humps for the safety of night riders exacerbates the problem and poses risks to commuters.
