Rams into vehicles, four persons injured
Nanjangud: A mini bus, which went out of control, rammed into a couple who were proceeding on their bike and people sitting in front of a tea shop besides ramming into a pole to which a CCTV camera has been installed near Apollo Circle yesterday.
While the injured couple have been identified as 36-year-old Satish and 30-year-old Ashwini of Goluru village, those injured in front of the tea shop are 30-year-old Ravikumar and Umesh, both residents of Chamalapura Hundi.
The mini bus, which was proceeding from Gundlupet side towards Mysuru, went out of control and first rammed into the bike on which Satish and Ashwini were travelling and then rammed into the youths who were sitting in front of a tea shop located opposite to the Taluk Panchayat office. The mini bus then rammed into the pole and came to a standstill.
The bus was carrying 15 people including five children when the incident occurred. However, no loss of life has been reported. While Satish suffered a fractured leg, Ashwini, the pillion rider and Ravikumar, who was sitting in front of the tea shop have escaped with minor injuries. Another youth Umesh, who has sustained serious head injuries has been admitted to a private hospital in Mysuru.
Nanjangud Traffic Police have registered a case in this regard.
