Bengaluru: Primary and Secondary Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar has directed PU Education Department and the Secondary Education Board to ensure completion of Second PU and SSLC syllabus by Apr. 20.
Addressing a meeting of officials from both the Departments in Bengaluru on Saturday, Suresh Kumar said that it is important to complete the syllabus by Apr. 20 in the interests of the students. Asserting that PU and SSLC exams will be held as scheduled, he said that second PU exam will commence from May 24 and the SSLC exam from June 21.
Stressing on the importance of completing the syllabus by Apr. 20, he said that this will help the children to revise the portions well ahead of the exams and get mentally prepared for facing the exam.
Referring to the holding of the exam amid the resurgence of COVID-19 pandemic, he said that all SOPs laid out by the Government will be strictly followed during the conduct of the exam.
Also much importance will be given for daily sanitisation of all exam halls and maintenance of hygiene and other precautionary and safety measures, Suresh Kumar said and added that there is no question of any compromise when it comes to safety and health of students.
He also asked the officials to ensure that COVID-19 guidelines such as wearing of face mask, following of physical distancing and maintenance of hand hygiene are followed in exam halls.
