Minister K.C. Narayanagowda to inaugurate National Integration Camp in city

The NSS Unit of University of Mysore (UoM), in association with the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, has organised a week-long National Integration Camp from Nov.14 to 20 at NSS Bhavan in Saraswathipuram. Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, UoM NSS Programme Officer Dr. M.B. Suresh said that Minister for Youth Empowerment and Sports K.C. Narayanagowda will inaugurate the camp at 4 pm tomorrow. UoM Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar will preside. State NSS Officer Pratap Lingaiah, State Director of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports M.N. Nataraj and other officials will be present, he said.

Pointing out that more than 150 NSS Volunteers from different States will be taking part in this week-long camp, Suresh said that a workshop on National Integration, shramdaan, special lectures, cultural contests, sporting and entertainment  activities will be part of the camp. The camp will also feature a cultural programme that involves  wearing of traditional dress of respective States on one day, he added. Camp Consultative Committee members Prof. K.M. Veeraiah and Dr. Rudraiah were present at the press meet.
