Mysore/Mysuru: District in-charge Minister V. Somanna yesterday launched the vehicles, arranged by Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) and Horticulture Department, to sell fruits, vegetables and other necessary items, at the doorsteps of city residents.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that these arrangements are made so that people do not come out of their houses and stayed safe in their homes; Also, to see that no one is left hungry during the lockdown period.
Urging the people to buy from these vehicles that come in front of their houses, the Minister reminded people to maintain social distance while purchasing. He also instructed sellers not to charge extra price for any commodity.
MLAs G.T. Devegowda, S.A. Ramdas and L. Nagendra, MP Pratap Simha, Mayor Tasneem, Zilla Panchayat President Parimala Shyam, Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G. Sankar, City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta and MCC Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde were present during the launch.
