Minister Munirathna seeks Suttur Seer’s blessings

Mysore/Mysuru: “I am ready to accept any portfolio that helps the poor and the State,” said Minister S.T. Munirathna.

During his visit to Suttur Mutt near the foot of Chamundi Hill yesterday, Munirathna took the blessings of Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji.

Speaking to the media, he said, “Because of my good deeds done in my previous life, I am getting an opportunity to become a Minister. During the time of COVID, our Government has taken better decisions which will help in controlling the spread of COVID in future. Do not blame the Government for imposing lockdown, as the Government is trying to control COVID from reaching the extreme level. I request people to co-operate by following COVID rules,” he said.

When Munirathna was asked whether frenemies (Friends becoming enemies) have increased or not, he said, “Enemy within us, enemy outside and frenemies all are important in life. Without friends and enemies life will be empty, so one should learn to balance life with enemies. I have become a Minister a bit late. S.T. Somashekar had become the Minister before me and I will be meeting him soon”, he added.
