Co-operation Minister S.T. Somashekar, who has been put in-charge of COVID-19 management and flood relief in Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts, will undertake a 3-day tour of the two districts, starting tomorrow. Somashekar will take part in the Independence Day celebrations at Bannimantap Parade Grounds in the city at 9 am on Aug.15. He will later take part in the Birth Certificate distribution programme organised by MCC at new Kamakshi Hospital premises in J.P.Nagar at 11 am.
On Aug.16, the Minister will visit Kollegal in Chamarajanagar district, where he will hold a meeting with officials from Kollegal and Hanur taluks on COVID-19 tackling and re-opening of Schools preparedness at 10 am. Thereafter, he will take part in ‘Janaashirvad’ rally to be presided over by Union Minister ShobhaKarandlaje at Chamarajanagar at 3 pm.
On Aug.17, Somashekar will hold a meeting with officials, Legislators and other people’s representatives from Mysurudistrict on COVID-19 tackling and School reopening preparedness at the Mysuru ZP Hallat 10 am. He will thereafter take part in ‘Janaashirvad’ rally to be attended by Union Minister ShobhaKarandlaje at 11.30 am in city.
