Mysuru: Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR) H.K. Patil, who is also the President of Karnataka Urban Co-operative Banks Federation, visited The Mysore Merchants Co-operative Bank Ltd., on Jaganmohan Palace Road in city recently.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister complimented the Bank for making steady progress over the years. Asking the Bank Management to strive for getting Scheduled Bank tag, Minister Patil stressed on the need for banks to focus on extending loans and recovery and also on employment generation.
On the occasion, the Minister was presented with a cheque for Rs. 7,02,935 towards Sahakara Vidya Nidhi and Rs. 3,57,020 towards Sahakara Abhivrudhi Nidhi. Later the Minister was felicitated by the Bank.
Bank Chairperson M.N. Sumana, Directors C.V. Somashekar, R. Anand, B.R. Nandeesh, K. Premkumar, N. Sudha and Bank’s AM Sridhar B. Kulkarni were present.
