Mysuru: A man has been arrested by the Mysuru South Police on charges of kidnapping and marrying a minor girl. He has been identified as Sagar.
According to Inspector Jayaprakash, Sagar had kidnapped the minor girl on June 20 from Sathagalli Bus Stand. He later took her to Bengaluru and married her at a temple. Following a complaint, the Police registered a kidnap case and booked Sagar under the provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Sagar has been produced before a Court that handed him over to judicial custody. The minor girl was rescued and sent to Children’s Home.
