Miscreants assault hotel owner, staff over petty reasons

Mysore/Mysuru: A group of miscreants allegedly assaulted the owner and staff of a hotel over petty reasons and the incident has been captured by a CCTV camera. The incident took place at New Hotel Mysore near Jaganmohan Palace in Devaraja Mohalla on Sunday night.

At about 9.30 pm on Sunday, a group of youths had come to the hotel and asked for a particular dish which was not available at the hotel. Enraged over this, the group picked up a fight with the hotel staff and hotel owner Rasmal, who intervened, was abused using foul language. The group then allegedly brought machetes and attempted to assault Rasmal and hotel staff.

Meanwhile, one of the miscreants tried to lift money from another customer and as people began to gather at the hotel, the miscreants managed to flee from the spot. Based on the complaint from the hotel owner, Devaraja Police, who have registered a case, have obtained the CCTV footage besides launching a hunt to nab the miscreants.
