Mysore/Mysuru: Investigation into the case of missing live bullets of .303 rifles from T. Narasipur Police Station has picked up pace. 50 bullets were found missing from the vaults of the Station recently when personnel from Mysuru District Armed Reserve Police visited the T. Narasipur Police Station on May 23 to take stock of the weaponry.
Before that, live bullets were supplied to T. Narasipur Police Station for .303 rifles and the bullet count was recorded at 2,500. After the bullets were found missing, an FIR was lodged and the Police Station Writer Krishnegowda was kept under suspension.
Krishnegowda was the previous Station Writer and now as the investigation is under progress, the present Police Station Writer Ningaraju too has been placed under suspension.
Mysuru Superintendent of Police (SP) C.B. Ryshyanth told reporters that the Police Station entries, documents and ledgers of the armoury have been screened to find clues about the bullets. Further investigation has been initiated, he added.
