Sir,
It was a noble gesture of my friend KBG to dedicate his Abracadabra written in the midnight (we got our hard-earned Independence too in the midnight) to appear in Star of Mysore dated Aug. 14, 2017, for nothing much I did to his column.
As a prolific and seasoned writer with a rich journalistic acumen gained in the Bombay days he had, I am sure, forethought writing on the subject and my late night message was just an incidental one.
But I don’t know why my friend did not quote in full the message leaving the second half of it. The full sentence was as follows:
“India 70 should appear tomorrow 14th in your column so that you will reproduce it in SOM of 14 August 2037 when you will be celebrating nearer of your 100th Birthday.”
– K.Vijaya Kumar, Gokulam Main Road, 15.8.2017
NOTE:…because by 2037 I would have overshot 100 by many years. And even by Vedic calculation the largest grace of life span for a person is 120, which I am afraid rarely people reach, if at all.—KBG
