Mysuru: CSI Holdsworth Memorial (Mission) Hospital, Mysuru, in association with Christian Medical Association of India (CMAI), had organised a one-day workshop on “Hospital Disaster Management” recently. The Medical, Paramedical, Nursing staff, PG students and Maintenance Department staff from Apollo BGS, JSS, Gopala Gowda, Kamakshi, Clear Medi-Radiant, Brindavan and CSI HMH Hospitals participated in this workshop.
Director of Mission Hospital Dr. J. Suguna Shanthi inaugurated the programme. Elsy John, CMAI Secretary, Bengaluru, gave a brief introduction about the event. Resource persons from Emmanuel Hospital Association, New Delhi, Peniel Malakar, Director and Shem Raomai, Programme Chairman, were the Speakers.
Various modules on Hospital Disaster Preparedness and Response Modules were taught, apart from imparting training in Disaster Education and Emergency Response.
Dr. Reuben Prakash, Deputy Director, Dr. Uttamanand, Dr. Vamadev, Physician, Sumathi, Bio-Medical Engineer, Sangeetha Lakundi, Nursing Superintendent, Vinolia Raj, Principal, CoN, HMH, were present on the occasion.
