Mysuru: Narasimharaja (NR) MLA Tanveer Sait recently laid the foundation stone for the construction of a toilet at Mysore Lions School in Bannimantap at a cost of Rs.15 lakh, funded from his Legislator’s Local Area Development Fund.
Speaking on the occasion, Sait said that he has been a member of Lions Club for the past 20 years and it is his responsibility to provide facilities at the school.
Asking the school students to concentrate on their studies, he said that social education must be valued. Stressing on the need for teachers to impart value-based education, he said that the students of the school should grow as responsible and concerned citizens.
Maintaining that this was a small contribution to the school, he assured that he would be always there to extend any help and wished that the school reach greater heights in the future.
Sait was felicitated on the occasion. Lions Club office-bearers Shivakumar, C. Mohan Kumar, J. Lokesh, Girish, B. Shivanna, Virupaksha, P. Ramesh, Dr. Prabha Mandal and Krishnamurthy, School HM Hemavathi, KRIDL Executive Engineer (EE) Thippareddy, AEE Archana, Contractor Shariff and others were present.
