Mysore/Mysuru: Chamaraja MLA L. Nagendra on Thursday laid the foundation stone for the new Veterinary Hospital building at Vinayakanagar (Paduvarahalli), which will come up at a cost of Rs. 20 lakh, with funding from the Animal Husbandry Department.
Speaking on the occasion, Nagendra said that though dairying in urban areas is on the decline, there are many people in Paduvarahallli and Old Vontikoppal who earn their livelihood by dairy farming.
Though the Veterinary Hospital here was functioning from a private building since 1985, he said the new building will come up now during his tenure as MLA of the Constituency.
He called upon the dairy farmers to make use of this Hospital, which will shortly have its own building.
Nominated Corporator M. Chikkavenkatu, Paduvarahalli Gramabhudaya Trust President Mahadevaswamy, Secretary N. Bhyrappa, former Corporator Srirama and others were present.
