Mysuru: Chamaraja MLA L. Nagendra inaugurated the road development works at Ward number 25 in Tilaknagar on Monday.
He performed guddali puja for the development of Pulakeshi Cross Road connecting Sawday Memorial Church and Government Higher Primary School.
Speaking after performing the puja, MLA Nagendra said that the development of 270 meter stretch of road was taken up by Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited (KRIDL) at a cost of Rs. 30 lakh under Minorities Welfare Department grant. The other roads in this area will be developed in a phased manner, he added.
The residents of the Ward felicitated MLA Nagendra on the occasion.
Corporator Rangaswamy, North Division Executive Engineer Suresh, Ward BJP leaders Vinay, Swamy, Mahadevu, Santosh, Narasimha, Mahesh and Pradeep were present.
Kantharaja Park
The MLA also performed guddali puja for the development of Kantharaja Park in Ward number 26. The Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) has sanctioned Rs. 16.5 lakh for various development works including construction of a shelter and walking path at the Park. Corporator Tasleem, MUDA AEE Lakshmeesh, MCC Zone 7 Zonal Officer Mahesh and others were present.
