MLA Ramdas visits rain-affected areas

Mysuru: – With Saturday heavy rains causing havoc in city, KR MLA S.A. Ramdas visited the affected areas in the constituency yesterday to have first-hand information on any damages and the problems faced by the public.

Ramdas went around Madhuvana, Ramanuja Road 13th Cross and Kanakagiri, coming under MCC Zone-1 limits, Vidyaranyapuram 28th to 33rd Cross, Srirampura, Ashwini Kalyana Mantap and SBM Colony in MCC Zone-2 limits, several areas in Kuvempunagar coming under MCC Zone-3 limits and Vinaya Marga and  surrounding areas in Siddhartha Layout coming under MCC Zone-9 limits.

With low-lying areas and water gushing into several houses due to heavy rains on Saturday causing a lot of hardship to the residents, Ramdas heard their grievances and assured them of addressing their woes taking up the issue seriously with the concerned authorities.

Corporator B.V. Manjunath, former Deputy Mayor Mahadevamma, BJP leader Jogi Manju, MUDA and MCC officials and others were present.

When in Srirampura, Ramdas directed the officials to throw open the new bridge built near Srirampura on Mysuru-Manandavadi Road for vehicular movement at the earliest, as the service road is causing a lot of problems to motorists, particularly when it rains.
