Rs. 30 lakh worth gadgets, accessories destroyed

Mysore/Mysuru: A mobile phone shop has been gutted in a fire caused by short circuit at Agrahara in city on Monday night.

At about 10.30 pm on Monday, public saw thick smoke emanating from A.M. Cell Zone, owned by one Syed Taukir on Madhavachar Road in Agrahara and immediately informed the Fire Station.

Fire and Emergency Services personnel, who rushed to the spot along with the fire extinguishing vehicle managed to douse the fire in an hour-long operation, but mobile phones, accessories and other items worth about Rs. 30 lakh was destroyed by then. A case has been registered at K.R. Police Station.
