Mom advices to reduce mobile usage, daughter ends life

Mysore/Mysuru: A home-maker committed suicide by hanging self after she was told by her mother to reduce mobile phone usage and take care of her child. The incident took place at Shakthinagar yesterday.

The woman, who ended her life, is Ashvini, wife of Pramod. Ashvini was staying with her child and mother at a rented house in Shakthinagar. Her husband Pramod works as a light boy in cinema projects in Bengaluru and used to travel to Bengaluru for work.

Recently, Ashvini’s mother observed that she was spending too much time with her mobile phone and advised her to reduce phone usage and take care of her child besides telling her that everyone will regret if something happens to her son. Ashvini’s mother then left to her mother’s house at Ponnachi in Chamarajanagar to take part in the ongoing Mari Habba.

Depressed over her mother’s advice, Ashvini, who left her child in the room, hanged herself to the ceiling fan in the room, according to the complaint from Ashvini’s mother Latha. Udayagiri Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
