Mysuru: The annual ‘Chinnara Mela’, a month-long  summer camp for children, will be held at Rangayana on Vinoba Road in city from Apr. 14. The commencement of the summer camp also coincides with Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti. Every year, Chinnara Mela will have a new theme and provides an opportunity for children to  exhibit their talent.

Speaking to Star of Mysore, Rangayana Director Satish Tiptur said that with the Chinnara Mela more than 20 days away, parents are enquiring at Rangayana about when the applications will be issued.

Pointing out that the announcement would be made soon, Satish said that all preparations were underway for the annual children’s summer camp, which is getting highly popular with each passing year. The camp will be held from              Apr. 14 to May 10, he added.

He also explained about the theatre events held at Rangayana in the past six months including Havyasi Rangotsava, Navaratri Rangotsava, College Rangotsava, Children’s Bahuroopi and Bahuroopi National Theatre Festival.
