Mysuru: A month-long Driving Licence (DL) drive, organised jointly by the Police Department and Regional Transport Offices began yesterday morning at all Traffic Police Stations in city.
The drive, which is initiated to create awareness among youth aged above 18 years on the necessity of a DL while riding a vehicle will conclude on Jan.31. Those who would like to obtain Learner’s Licence (LLR) and Driving Licence (DL) can approach their jurisdictional Traffic Police Station along with necessary documents to obtain the same.
K.R. Traffic Police had received 104 applications for obtaining Learner’s Licence (LLR) and yesterday, 15 people obtained LLRs after submitting necessary documents and can seek a DL after 30 days.
RTO (West) Anwar Pasha, Probationary RTO L. Deepak and K.R. Traffic Police Inspector D. Manjunath supervised the issuance process of LLR.
Meanwhile, DCP (Crime and Traffic) Dr. Vikram V. Amathe and ACP (Traffic) K.N. Madaiah, in a press release have stated that the drive is being conducted at all five Traffic Police Stations and have urged those who want LLRs to visit the Traffic Police Station in their jurisdiction along with necessary documents, undergo tests and obtain LLRs.
