Month-long retreat concludes at  Bylakuppe

Bylakuppe: The  month-long retreat (Vesak Month) concluded on June 25 with a spiritual ceremony led by Ven Khenpo Ngedhon Tenzin (Abbot)  in the congregation hall of Drukkar Drubgyud Thoesamling Monastery, Gulladahalla here.

A large number of disciples belonging to both the Lugsam and Delar Tibetan Settlement attended this closing ceremony.

The main purpose of the retreat was to accumulate a collection of merits and purification of defilements by reciting the mantras and performing the rituals of Buddha Amitabha of pure land.

During the retreat, every morning Ven Khenpo Ngedhon taught the basic principle of Buddhist philosophy combining its core essence with the ordinary people’s way of living and specifically stressed on the importance of being kind and un-harmful to the natural environment which belongs not only to this generation but to all the future generations.

The merits accumulated from this month-long retreat was dedicated for the long life of His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama and His Holiness the 12th Gyawang Drukpa and fulfilment of their noble aspirations and messages of peace and blessings to reach the heart of every being of this world.
