Mysuru: Suttur Mutt has organised a Karnatak vocal concert by Vid. Abhiram Bode on Oct. 13 at Suttur Mutt in the foot of Chamundi Hill at 6 pm as part of its moonlight music programme.
Vid. Abhiram, who is based in Chennai, has been learning music for the past 15 years from ‘Gaanakalabhushana’ Vidu. R.A. Ramamani. A graduate in Economics, he is currently pursuing his M.A (Music). Having travelled across the country, Abhiram has received accolades from various organisations including ‘Ananya Nadajyothi Prathiba Puraskara’, ‘Best Musician Award’ at Nadakishorotsava Music competition, Sangeetayatra Award by Sankara TV to name a few.
He will be accompanied by Vid. Vaibhav Ramani on violin. Apart from performing solo violin concerts, Vaibhav has accompanied renowned artistes. He was placed first at the national-level Sangeeta Samrat competition and has received Best Violinist awards at MUDHRA Cutchery Competition and Spirit of Music Academy. Vaibhav also received appreciation for his album ‘Hamsanandam – A tribute to my Guru.’
Vid. A. Radesh, disciple of Kalaimamani Munaargudi Eshwar, will accompany on mridanga.
