Mysuru: Vidushi Mahathi Raghuram will present a vocal concert as part of the monthly moonlight music programme at Suttur Mutt in city on Nov. 19 at 6 pm.
Vidushi Mahathi will be accompanied by Vidushi C.V. Shruti and Vidwan Nandan Kashyap in the concert.
Vidushi Mahathi Raghuram, an emerging artiste of Karnatak music, is the granddaughter of Vidwan V. Deshikachar. After early music lessons from Vidushi R.N. Srilatha, Mahathi has performed in many prestigious musical concerts at Mysuru, Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Kerala and USA as well.
Vidushi C.V. Shruti too comes from a family of musicians. She had her initial music lessons from renowned violinist H.K. Narasimhamurthy. She was awarded ‘Best instrumental musician’ at Nadakishorotsava-2019 event and has bagged a scholarship from Karnataka Sangeetha-Nrutya Academy. She is a B Grade artiste with Mysuru Akashavani.
Vidwan Nandan Kashyap, a disciple of Mysuru’s mridanga Vidwan V.S. Ramesh for 13 years, is now training under Vidwan Patri Satishkumar at Chennai. Competing in various musical contests, he has won many prizes.
