Mysore/Mysuru: Vidwan Bombay V. Anand and Vidwan Vedajna Narasimha will present a Violin Duet at the monthly Moonlight Music Programme organised at Suttur Mutt at the foot of Chamundi Hill here at 6 pm tomorrow (June 21).
Vidwan Anand learnt his early music lessons from Borivili Kannan and later trained under Vidushi Gomati and Vidushi T.R. Balamani at Mumbai’s Fine Arts Music School. At present he is being tutored by Vidushi A. Kanyakumari, who is teaching the nuances of playing violin and fine-tuning the art.
Vidwan Vedajna Narasimha began showing interest at the tender age of 7 years by getting trained under Vidushi Vaishnavi Anand. He had advanced lessons in music from Vidushi A. Kanyakumari and continued practicing music at Singapore’s prestigious School of Arts. He won a prize in violin (Junior) contest held by Singapore’s National Arts Council in 2017.
The duo will be accompanied by Vidwan Anoor Vinod Shyam on mridanga and Vidwan Sunaad Anoor on kanjira.
Vidwan Anoor Vinod Shyam is an acclaimed mridanga artiste who has won many prizes. He has presented many musical concerts in several countries including Singapore, Germany, Mexico, Abu Dhabi and Europe.
Vidwan Sunaad Anoor is an A grade Akashvani artiste and has presented musical concerts in different countries.
