Mysuru: Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha has appealed Union Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi to extend Mysuru-Dharwad, Basava (Mysuru-Bagalkot), Hampi (Mysuru-Bengaluru-Gadag-Hubballi) Express and Gol Gumbaz (Mysuru-Solapur) express to Chamarajanagar.
In a memorandum submitted to the Minister, Simha said that these trains traverse through many districts of Karnataka and will help in connecting the Educational and Industrial Centres of North Karnataka and Malnad region with Chamarajanagar. Chamarajanagar people have been demanding extension of these trains for many years, he said and added that the extension will also help to decongest Mysuru City Railway Station.
