Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha and MLA L. Nagendra formally handed over six RO drinking water plants, installed at various places across the city, to MCC on Monday.
The six RO water plants have been installed using Rs. 60 lakh donated by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity at Yadavagiri, Metagalli, Kumbarakoppal, Lashkar Mohalla, Vijayanagar and Manchegowdanakoppal. MP Pratap Simha and MLA Nagendra on Monday formally inaugurated the RO plant at Yadavagiri in the presence of IOCL officials and other dignitaries.
IOCL had earlier provided a truck-mounted jetting rodding sewage cleaning machine to the MCC and has also supported persons with disabilities in and around Mysuru by providing tricycles, hearing aids, walking sticks, crutches and wheelchairs to nearly 2,738 beneficiaries.
Lauding IOCL, Pratap Simha said that apart from providing vital petroleum products to the country, Indian Oil has proved to be a good responsible corporate citizen by enriching the quality of lives of the people through its various CSR activities.
Corporator Ravindra, Mysuru City BJP Vice-President S.K. Dinesh and others were present on the occasion.
