Centre has failed to release drought relief funds for Karnataka, said MP R. Dhruvanarayan.
Speaking during the Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha, Dhruvanarayan mentioned that Karnataka was facing severe drought where people were suffering from scarcity of drinking water and animals without fodder.
He added the despite Chief Minister Siddharamaiah requesting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to release the funds there has not been a positive response.
Dhurvanarayan urged the Centre to immediately release adequate funds for drought relief before it turned fatal for people and animals. In his answer, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar assured to take measures for the drought relief.
