Mysuru: A special publicity vehicle aimed at creating awareness about State Budget 2017-18 among people in rural areas of the district was flagged off by MPs Pratap Simha and R. Dhruvanarayan from the Mysuru Zilla Panchayat premises yesterday.
The vehicle, bearing the message ‘Jana Para-Jana Priya Budget 2017-18’ (Pro-people and popular Budget), has been readied by the Department of Information and Public Relations.
It will be on the road till May 18, creating awareness among people about the various programmes taken up by the State Government.
As part of the campaign, a booklet titled ‘Janapara Budget 2017’ providing details of the Budget and various Govt. programmes will be distributed, said R. Raju, Assistant Director of the Department, in a statement.
Booklets titled ‘Aydane Varshadedege Bharavaseya Nadige’ containing information on the assurances fulfilled by the Siddharamaiah Government during the past four years will also be distributed.
The vehicle will tour parts of T. Narsipur taluk from April 24 to April 26, Nanjangud taluk from April 27 to May 2, H.D. Kote taluk from May 3 to May 6, Hunsur taluk from May 7 to May 9, Periyapatna taluk from May 10 to May 12, and K.R. Nagar taluk from May 15 to May 18.
