It was triple delight for Bengaluru girl Charmi Gopinath who hogged the limelight on the concluding day of the MTC AITA Talent Series Tennis Tournament for U-16 & U-14 (boys & girls), by clinching the girls U-16, U-14 Singles and U-16 Doubles titles respectively at the MTC courts here on Friday last. In the girls U-16 Singles final, second seeded Charmi Gopinath, playing a consistent baseline game, capitalised on the unforced errors committed by the top-seeded local girl M. Jasha and scored an upset 6-3, 6-2 win and clinched the title.
Charmi Gopinath, the top-seed from Bengaluru, won the girls U-14 Singles title staving off the challenge put up by third seeded L. Meenakshi 6-1, 6-2.
Charmi, teaming up with Chandana Reddy, completed a fine triple by winning the girls U-16 Doubles title beating J. Apoorva and M. Jasha 6-3, 6-2 in the final.
Saran Samrvir and Mandeep Reddy (both from Karnataka) won the boys U-16 & U-14 Singles titles respectively.
The prizes to the winners were given away by L. Alagappan, President, Mysore Tennis Club and Chethan Vishwanath, Tournament Director, MTC.

Girls — U-16: Charmi Gopinath (Kar) bt M.Jasha (Kar) 6-3, 6-2; Doubles: Chandana & Charmi Gopinath bt J. Apoorva & M. Jasha 6-3, 6-2; U-14: Charmi Gopinath (Kar) bt L. Meenakshi (Kar) 6-1, 6-2.
