Bengaluru: Amid the heat over the allegations of scams at Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki ST Development Corporation and the relentless protests by the Opposition parties, demanding his resignation, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is most likely to meet Congress high command in New Delhi.
It is said that Siddaramaiah will be visiting the national capital on July 30 and will be calling on former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, All India Congress Committee (AICC) President M. Mallikarjun Kharge, AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal and other senior leaders of the party.
During his visit, Siddaramaiah will be apprising the national leaders about the developments related to the scams, which made more noise, with the main Opposition parties BJP and JD(S) upping their ante during the recent Monsoon Session of the State Legislature, holding both the Houses for ransom, for nine consecutive days.
