Mysore/Mysuru: A day after it reclaimed prime property worth about Rs. 25 crore along Kalidasa Road in Jayalakshmipuram, the MUDA on Tuesday demolished a building that was unauthorisedly built on a site and reclaimed the landed property, which is valued at about Rs. 40 lakh.
Details: A person is said to have unauthorisedly built an Asbestos sheet house on a 20’x30’ site (No. 294) in Gokulam second stage. Noticing that it was an unauthorised construction, MUDA officials had asked the person who was living in the house to vacate the site three months ago. But as the person failed to vacate the site, the MUDA authorities, following directions from Commissioner Dr. D.B. Natesh, on Tuesday demolished the structure built on the site, under protection from the jurisdictional Jayalakshmipuram Police.
The demolition was carried out under the supervision of MCC Zone-4 AEE Ravindra Kumar, AEs Puttanagaraj and Nagaraj and other staff.
Meanwhile, MUDA officials said that after demolition of the house, the reclaimed property, was handed over to the person who had bought the site in an auction held two months ago.
