Mysuru: Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday trapped a First Division Assistant (FDA) of the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) while he was taking a bribe of Rs. 5,000 from a person for issuing a ‘Land not acquired’ certificate.
The trapped FDA has been identified as Malleshaiah. Malleshaiah was caught red handed while accepting Rs. 5,000 from one Nagesh of Hinkal for issuing Land not acquired certificate.
Nagesh had applied to the MUDA on May 26 seeking a certificate in respect of his 1.24 acre land in Hinkal Survey No. 10/1 and 26 guntas of land in Survey No. 10/1B. FDA Malleshaiah, under the pretext of workload on him, had demanded Rs. 5,000 for immediate issuance of the certificate.
Following Malleshaiah’s demand, Nagesh lodged a complaint with the ACB Office located on Mysuru-Bengaluru Road.
Acting on the complaint, ACB sleuths led by Dy.SP Gajendra Prasad, Inspector G.N. Srikanth and staff, caught Malleshaiah while accepting bribe.
